This time we branded Ensemble Adoré's 2nd concert: poster, leaflet, flyer, ticket design...so many things we can't even count. Our starting point was listening to all the tunes in this concert program for brainstorming. Considering the concert title was "L'Arlésienne", we focused our attention on Georges Bizet, even though there was other outstanding music composed by Claude Debussy, Darius Mihaud, Alexander Arutiunian, and Heitor Villa-Lobos. We then read the play, L'Arlésienne, written by Alphonse Daudet and listened to the opera several times to get a concrete idea for its conception. Meanwhile, we accidentally came across a painting by Jules Chéret, entitled "La Farandole", a traditional dance from Provence, France. The woman is dancing La Farandole in the painting similarly to the last scene of the opera. We just couldn't stop ourselves from not going with this classical art created by the father of modern poster design for our own.
